Location

The location that we have chosen is close to school which we thought was a good idea so that we could get the filming done using the schools equipment, in school time.  This will enable us to be able to use our friends from school to help us in the film. The location is also central to all three of us as I live in Chelmsford and Jack B lives in Romford. It is therefore easiest place for us to meet if the filming does over run and we have to do some filming in our own time.

The good points of our location are:

·         It is close to school which makes getting actors and filming easy during school time.

·         It is an empty area which means people will not walk into our shot.

·         It suits a gang location as it is out of the public view so therefore emphasise the idea that the fight is something that shouldn’t be happening.

·         Also the area when the fight will be taking place is quite ominous, adding to effect needed for a thriller.

The bad points of our location are:

·         In parts of the location there are things that are very modern such as bollards in the road, the house on the side of the path and the cars on the road and parked on the footpath.  These will need to cut out in the filming and in the editing.

·         Continuity editing will be a problem because of the cars in the background. Therefore we will need to point the camera away from the road as much as possible.
